Donny Osmond Looking To Work With Todd Rundgren
Salt Lake Tribune

An unusual musical collaboration may be in the works - between Donny Osmond and rocker Todd Rundgren.

That's what Osmond has in mind, according to a Billboard.com item (posted on the Ventura County Star's website).

Osmond said he had planned to record an album with Rundgren before, but it didn't work out. "But we've met several times and he was serious about it," he said. "We started looking for songs and the whole bit, and it just was, 'I'll call you back because I gotta do this.' But we were ready to go. I thought that would have been a very interesting collaboration ... so maybe Rundgren is the right guy."

Rundgren has a long career both as a progressive-rock guitarist and as a producer of such albums as Meat Loaf's classic "Bat Out of Hell" album, Grand Funk Railroad's "We're an American Band" and XTC's "Skylarking."
Osmond's most lasting collaboration, of course, is with his sister Marie, still going strong in Vegas and on tour.
